Gould and Cardoso are currently recovering from Achilles and shin injuries respectively at present, however are both said to be on track and working hard to make sure they get back as soon as possible.
A statement on Chiefs’ website today said, “Morgan Gould is progressing well and training hard. Gould is well on track to return to action in September… Daniel Cardoso has started running on the treadmill and is expected back in action in September.”
However, as reported earlier today, there has been some good news on the defensive front for Steve Komphela, with Erick Mathoho returning to training and expecting to be back fit for the start of the season.
Meanwhile, Lucky Baloyi faces another three weeks out after sustaining an injury during a preseason game earlier this month.
