If rumours coming out of the University of Pretoria are anything to go by, Tebogo Monyai will be rewarded for his loyalty to the club once his playing days are over.
The former Moroka Swallows defender has only started one game for Tuks this season, with Steve Barker preferring to use Junior Sibande and Buhle Mkhwanazi in his position. It’s been said that Monyai will occupy either a team manager or scouting role but that there is no rush to finalise the issue as he is still registered as a player for this season.
The 34-year-old player told the Siya crew, “We’ve not yet discussed anything, so that means nothing has been done officially. It’s still the same situation as last season where they said I was going to be the team manager. I’m sure we will hold talks toward the end of the season and that’s when I’ll be able to tell you more.
"You know I can’t lie to you guys! I will be involved with the team when my playing days are over but at this stage I don’t know in what capacity.”
