As previously reported by the Siya crew, South African international Dean Furman has left SuperSport United, to be closer to his family in the UK while also welcoming his newborn. In light of this, the Siya crew looks at a list of candidates who could possibly replace him at the Tshwane outfit.
The Bafana international enjoyed a successful five-year spell with Matsatsantsa, leading the team to an MTN8 as well as two Telkom Knockout titles while narrowly missing out on a CAF Confederations Cup trophy.
Replacing him will be no easy feat for Kaitano Tembo’s team, although a host of players have been identified as candidates

Matsatsantsa are said to have identified Thabang Monare as a replacement for the 31-year-old.
Monare would suit the role perfectly although the Siya crew reported in the past weeks that Bidvest Wits were in fresh contract talks with the former Jomo Cosmos man, whose current deal is set to come to an end on June 30, this year.
Monare initially turned down Wits’ new contract offer last year, but now sources have revealed that after fresh talks, the midfielder has agreed to a new two-year deal in principle.

Monare’s new deal means that the Tshwane outfit would have to fork out a fee if they are to land the 30-year-old’s signature.
The likes of outgoing Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Lucky Mohomi has also been added to the list of potential Furman replacements that could see the midfielder make the cross-town switch.
Meanwhile, there has also been mention of Musa Nyatama, whose future is up in the air at Highlands Park, with the club yet to decide if they will activate the option on the deal he signed at the club.
