Mamelodi Sundowns’ new signing, Raymond Monama, is planning to win trophies with the club and take his career to the next level.
Monama signed with Sundowns this past weekend, as revealed on the Soccer-Laduma web and mobi-site. The midfielder is now determined on establishing himself at Chloorkop, despite the strong competition he expects from the star-studded squad.
“I signed with the club on Sunday. My wish is to get game time at the club. I need to play football and that’s all. I hope to win something with the club. I need to win silverware for me to grow as a player.
“The team has quality players. The competition I will get from them is going to help me in my wish to grow. I will learn a lot,” said Monama.
Monama was one of the star performers for Leopards last season, despite the club’s relegation to the NFD at the end of the campaign.
He and teammates, Tiyani Mabunda and Rodney Ramagalela, were snapped up by Sundowns, after impressing Pitso Mosimane and his technical team with their performances.
