Former Kaizer Chiefs defender, Tlou Molekwane, has revealed to the Siya crew that he will try to help Polokwane City to do well against the Amakhosi rather than aiming for individual glory if he gets a chance to play this weekend.
Molekwane is on a mission to revive his career that has been on a nose-dive since leaving Chiefs.
City and Chiefs play in the last 16 of the Telkom Knockout at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
“We are playing against Chiefs in the Telkom Knockout and I played for them before. I’m going to play for the team and not myself. It’s going to be nice,” said Molekwane.
Chiefs will be hoping to advance to the next round of the competition for a chance to win the trophy, after missing out on the MTN8 already this season.
Chiefs will be without Siphiwe Tshabalala against City after the Bafana Bafana midfielder was ruled out with a muscle injury, while Thapelo Tshilo is expected to be a notable omission from the Limpopo outfit due to a foot injury.
Can Molekwane and his teammates upset Kaizer Chiefs in the Telkom Knockout?
