Former Kaizer Chiefs defender, Tlou Molekwane, has committed himself to Polokwane City by signing a two-year deal with the Limpopo-based club.
Earlier in the week, Soccer Laduma reported that the 25-year-old right back was in advanced talks with Rise and Shine and hoped to extend his stay at the club, after an impressive season in which he made over 20 league appearances for City despite receiving offers elsewhere.
“Today I have officially signed for Polokwane City and I’m looking forward to the season ahead. This is where I have played my best football in my career and I’m happy the club has done everything to keep me here. I want to repay their faith in me by playing well on the field, "said an energized Molekwane.
“The club is still to bring in more quality players to ensure that this upcoming season we compete at a higher level. Personally, I want to help my club to contend in the cup competitions. We have to be better then what we were last season,” added the full back.
Polokwane City players are expected to report back to training on June 22, as they prepare for the season ahead.
