Dutch side, PEC Zwolle, have been dealt a big blow with the news that South African midfielder, Kamohelo Mokotjo, will be out for around a month.
The 22-year-old has been a vital member of Zwolle’s side so far this season, featuring in all 25 of their games in both the Eredivisie and KNVB Cup, scoring twice along the way.
Mokotjo’s form earned him a call-up to Gordon Igesund’s Bafana Bafana set up where he impressed both the coach and the fans.
However, the former SuperSport United man now faces around four weeks on the sidelines having undergone a successful operation on his meniscus and entering into his rehabilitation.
Zwolle started off the season fantastically well, spending a period on top of the log, though have recently slipped down to eighth after a run of bad results late last year.
However, in 2014 the club have won four of their six games, and their head coach, Ron Jans, will be hoping to see Mokotjo back in action sooner rather than later.
