Mamelodi Sundowns could decide to add Lebohang Mokoena’s name to the list of outgoing players, if the player is unlikely to get regular game-time in Pitso Mosimane’s team in the 2015/16 season.
The Brazilians are expected to decide on the squad for the new season, with the team having completed their busy pre-season schedule.
With Downs having already loaned Bonginkosi Ntuli to Platinum Stars, the Chloorkop outfit is expected to release a few other players to interested clubs.
Mokoena is one of the Sundowns’ players that seriously need to get game-time, after the midfielder had been on the side-lines for long spells in the last three seasons or so.
Sources close to Sundowns have revealed that the club is willing to release Mokoena, should a suitable offer be tabled for his services. Cheeseboy has been previously linked to Kaizer Chiefs.
The Siya crew understand that the player’s representatives are busy searching for a club for him.
Mokoena’s contribution to Sundowns’ league campaign of last season was two substitute appearances.
He failed to make a single start under Mosimane and his technical team.
