Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bloemfontein Celtic player, Mokete Tsotetsi, has surfaced at Roses United for a trial with the side.
The defender has been in football wilderness for some time, since starring for Vasco da Gama during the team’s first and only season in the PSL in the 2010/11 campaign.
Roses’ communications manager, Tshidiso Mokgele, confirmed to the Siya crew that Tsotetsi is training with the NFD outfit.
“He hasn’t signed. But, yes, he is training with us. I haven’t actually watched him yet because I’ve been busy with the other stuff. I saw him at training today (Tuesday). I will be going to training now (to watch him),” said Mokgele.
The 31-year-old had a stint with Mpumalanga Black Aces in the 2011/12 season when AmaZayoni were still campaigning in the NFD.
Tsotetsi, who also played for Jomo Cosmos in his career, is being assessed to see if he can add value to Clinton Larsen’s side this season.
The Boipatong-born player will link up with another former Celtic and Aces player, James Madidilani, if he signs with Roses.
