Joel Mogorosi has had a memorable first season with Bloemfontein Celtic, helping the side clinch the Telkom Knockout and finishing the campaign in a respectable fifth position on the Absa Premiership table.
The Botswana international joined Phunya Sele Sele at the start of the 2012/13 season and has since picked up a personal PSL award in the club’s colours. Mogorosi has been recognised for his contribution to Celtic’s success in the Telkom Knockout, having been presented with the TKO Player of the Tournament award.
After receiving the award on Sunday night at the league’s end of season awards ceremony, Mogorosi reflected on the season, stating that he is satisfied with his first year in the PSL under the guidance of coach Clinton Larsen
“I had a great season. I did very well in my first season and I think the award is just an icing on top. I thank my coach, Clinton Larsen, for helping me settle in well at the team and the whole technical team and management.
“I also thank my teammates who welcomed me very well and made me comfortable at the team. I will continue working hard to maintain or improve my game,” Mogorosi concluded.
