Word reaching the Siya crew is that Mamelodi Sundowns captain, Teko Modise, should finalise his new contract at the club once they return from their Zimbabwean tour.
The Brazilians recently landed in Zimbabwe where they will be playing three games, against Highlanders, Caps United and Dynamos, before returning to South Africa ahead of the PSL’s return in mid-February.
It was recently reported by the Siya crew that the player was on the brink of agreeing to a new deal with the club and new information has revealed that the final details should be sorted on their return to Mzansi.
The 30-year-old will see his current deal at Chloorkop come to an end in June and can technically sign for any other club at this present moment on a pre-contract, however it is believed that he is keen to remain at Downs and will wait for a new deal.
Soccer-Laduma reported that terms had been agreed to, with regards to a two-year deal, however it may be that the midfielder earns himself a longer deal should negotiations be successful.
