Wits defender Sipho Mngomezulu has been given a new lease of life at the club following the arrival of Clive Barker as the new head coach.
Mngomezulu spent the first round of the campaign on the sidelines, despite being contracted to the club until the end of the season. He was deemed surplus to requirements by former head coach Antonio Lopez Habas, along with several teammates, including the likes of Energy Murambadoro and Derrick Spencer.
Wits general manager George Mogotsi confirmed with the Siya crew that Mngomezulu has been re-called to the first team under the former Bafana Bafana coach.
However, the same cannot be said about Derrick Spencer. The former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns defender remains on the sidelines although he is under contract until June.
