Chippa United have turned down Thando Mngomeni in his endeavour to resurrect his career with the side.
Mngomeni was recently training with the side, in the hope of landing himself a new PSL deal. However, following the changes made within the Chippa camp, including the appointment of Wilfred Mugeyi as the new head coach, he was turned away.
Chippa’s Lukanyo Mzinzi confirmed with the Siya crew that the former SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns player is no longer training with the team.
After a promising start to his career, Mngomeni failed to live up to expectations. Having represented South Africa at both junior and senior levels, his best football was played in Sweden with Helsingborg.
The 29-year-old, who last turned out for Wits, will now have to look elsewhere, as he looks to continue his professional career in the PSL.
