Polokwane City have beefed up their technical team and the playing squad in preparation of the second half of the season.
Following the acquisition of Duncan Lechesa as the coach of the NFD side, the management has made a few signings to bolster the squad for the rest of the campaign.
Most notably, the Limpopo-based outfit has signed Koketso Mmotong to add experience to the young squad. Mmotong has been in football wilderness since parting ways with Sundowns.
The Mamelodi-born midfielder played for Mpumalanga Black Aces on loan from Sundowns during the 2011/12 campaign and his presence in Lechesa’s squad will lift the team’s spirits to do well when the season resumes.
The side is preparing for their first game since the unfortunate passing of four players in Koketso Takalo, Robert Mphuti, Moeketsi Nthete and Silvester Mpaketsane.
Lechesa replaced former Black Leopards coach, Vladislav Heric, in City’s coaching seat.
