Goals from Vincent Pule, Lorch and Ben Motshwari guided the Buccaneers to a 3-1 win over SuperSport United.
Mlambo caught the eye once again, as he set up Lorch with a clever back-heel that left the SuperSport defence bamboozled.
“I saw Lorch and I knew that he was waiting for it. He understands me," Mlambo told SuperSport.
"We come from way back. I played with Lorch at Cape Town All Stars so I can read his movements and he can read my movements.
"It is something that we generally know and work on at training.”
Mlambo also praised the Buccaneers' fight to rally back after SuperSport levelled matters in the second half.
“It wasn’t an easy game, the boys put in a great fight. We knew that they knocked us out of the Cup but it didn’t matter because we set ourselves goals,” he added.
