Banyana Banyana will this afternoon take on neighbours Zimbabwe in an international friendly at the Sinaba Stadium in Daveyton.
Although the ladies are beaming with confidence, following last Sunday’s 5-0 win over Mozambique, coach Joseph Mkhonza believes that today’s game will be a tough one.
Mkhonza is confident that his team will carry their winning momentum into the game, however, he admits that Zimbabwe is a good side. He told the Siya crew that he is hoping to continue with his winning streak against Zimbabwe.
“It is true we did very well against Mozambique but encounters between Banyana Banyana and Zimbabwe are always tight. We hope to take a lead in our overall victories over them on Saturday.
“We want to make the nation proud and set the tone for Sunday’s Bafana Bafana match against Ethiopia.
“We know it won't be an easy encounter and we are expecting a tough encounter. The players know that we need to continue with the good run and we are looking for a win,” Mkhonza said.
