Mkhanyiseli Siwahla is uncertain about his future at Chippa United as his contract with the club is coming to an end at the end of the month.
The skilful midfielder, who joined the Philippi-based outfit halfway through the season after a short stint at Mpumalanga Black Aces, saw little game time during the team’s campaign in the NFD in the 2013/14 season.
According to a source close to Siwahla, the player is concerned at the club’s silence about their plans for him.
“I was talking to Siwahla and he told me that the club hasn’t renewed his contract yet. He is concerned about that at the moment,” said the source.
The Chilli Boys previously told the Siya crew that the player’s lack of game time this past season was because of the U23 rule in the NFD.
In the meantime, the club is making reinforcements to the squad in preparation for another season in the PSL.
