Micho’s Promise To The Pirates Supporters For Next Season
Milutin Sredojevic Has Made A Promise To The Orlando Pirates Supporters
Orlando Pirates will end the 2017/18 Absa Premiership campaign in second place, and in anticipation of the 2018/19 season, Coach Milutin Sredojevic says that they will do everything possible to win silverware next season.
The Buccaneers experienced one of their most disappointing campaigns last season, where they finished out of the top eight of the league standings for the first time in the modern era of the Premier Soccer League.
Following his appointment at the helm of the team in August last year, Micho and the technical team have completely transformed the Pirates outfit from last season. They competed with Mamelodi Sundowns for the league title and secured a spot in next season’s CAF Champions League.
“I would say that we should do the deepest possible analysis and I can assure our supporters that we shall strengthen the team where it is needed, we shall work very hard to prepare ourselves because a proper season will demand quality in the MTN8, in the Telkom Cup, (Nedbank Cup), in the league in the first half of the season as a warm up for something that will come later on. We need to show that we are able to compete on the continent, and represent the country in the best possible way and we have the highest possible ambition in the CAF Champions League,” Coach Micho told the media.
“It will be a much tougher season in front of us, but (we are) fully aware of that, we believe that we have laid a very good foundation and as a football people united we shall do anything possible next season, where it will be the season where we will get silverware,” he added.
