Now that his wrangle with the Stars of Africa Academy has been sorted out, Chadley Jacobs is looking forward to helping Milano United gain promotion to the PSL.
The Port Elizabeth-born striker was previously on the books of Swedish Second Division side IFK Hassleholm, but has been back in South Africa and looking to revive his career. He trained with the Stars of Africa Academy sometime last year, but went to try his luck at Milano United, who wasted no time in signing him after seeing his potential.
However, the academy allegedly refused to issue him his clearance and he was not able to feature for the National First Division side in competitive games.
The academy’s director told the Siya crew in December that he was going to give the player his clearance to allow him to continue his career. Jacobs made his debut against Chippa United, but received a red card for pulling an opposition player in the box and is determined to bounce back.
“I signed a two-year deal with the club and everything is going smoothly now. I was unfortunate to get a red card, but I am here to help where I can and when I can. I am confident that I can add value to the club,” he said.
