Sayed Appels has been appointed as Milano United’s new head coach following the departure of Boebie Solomons. The former Santos and Cape Town Spurs’ player, who’s a founding member of Eezy my Kinnes, has taken the job on a short-term contract.
“I retired from football so am only coaching until the season ends,” he told Soccer Laduma. “I’ve given my players time off because they looked tired and finished on the field during their 5-1 loss to Real Kings. There was no movement, they were pussy footing jumping in the air and I told them, ‘You must look into my eyes. I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt. Three days off, no excuse. Whenever you play like that under me, I’m not going to take it!
“Club chairman, Nasief Brenner, works hard for his money. He’s put a lot into the club. It’s not nice to see them in this situation,” Appels concluded.
