The representative of Luc Eymael, Mike Makaab confirmed that the head coach remains committed to Free State Stars despite interest from elsewhere in the Premier Soccer League.
Eymael recently guided Ea Lla Koto to be crowned 2018 Nedbank Cup champions, although interest in his services came sometime before then.
As reported in the past weeks by the Siya crew, the likes of Chiefs and SuperSport were showing interest in Eymael, with both these clubs eager to find a new head coach for the helm.
Eymael’s representative, Makaab confirmed that he was previously in talks with both Amakhosi and Matsatsantsa, however, nothing materialised and the Belgium coach remains committed to Stars.
“Yes, that is true, I have engaged with both parties and at some stage, there was a definite interest in Luc and the fact that it hasn’t transpired is fine because Luc is a professional coach. He has given his commitment to Free State Stars and is excited about the season ahead,” Makaab told the Siya crew.
