Clubs in the Premier Soccer League are looking to reinforce certain departments in their squads and Soccer Laduma takes a look at 10 of the highest profiled midfielders who have been identified as transfer targets by the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs.
The July/August transfer window will open in a few weeks and several players have already been linked with moves away from their current clubs.
The likes of Bidvest Wits and Kaizer Chiefs have already begun with releasing some players from their books, who were either surplus to requirements or out of contract.
However, there are several midfielders in the league that are stull contracted to their clubs but wanted elsewhere. Here are 10 of them:
Chiefs’ Maluleka has been hot on the radar of Mamelodi Sundowns, while Willard Katsande has also been linked with a move from Naturena, although there has been no confirmation from the club as yet.
Both Thabang Monare and Cole Alexander have been linked with moves to Chiefs in the past week, with Monare also believed to be on the radar of the Sundowns.
Fortune Makaringe is believed to be close to completing a move to Orlando Pirates, while his teammate Siphesihle Ndlovu is also believed to be linked with a transfer to the Bucs.
Teboho Mokoena has been hot on the radar for Sundows for quite some time now, along with his teammate Aubrey Modiba.
Marshall Munetsi is being heavily linked with a move to Europe and as reported in previous weeks by the Siya crew, clubs in Belgium and Turkey are keen on bringing the player abroad.
Mpho Makola and Abbubaker Mobara are also being linked with a move away from the Bucs, with Mobara’s contract ending on this month, June 30.
