Massive Exodus Of Players At Chippa, Midfielder Secures New Deal

One of the many players on their way out of Chippa United has already secured a move to a new club.

As reported in edition 1105 of Soccer Laduma, a list of 13 players are expected to leave the Port Elizabeth outfit during the January transfer window.

One of the players Zaphaniah Mbokoma has signed with Jomo Cosmos in the National First Division. Cosmos have confirmed that the midfielder has signed a six-month loan deal with Ezenkosi.

“Jomo Cosmos have boosted their ranks with the acquisition of former Chippa United winger, Zaphaniah Mbokoma, who signed a six-month deal during the week,” Ezenkosi confirmed on the club’s official website.

Also confirmed by the NFD outfit is that former Highlands Park defender Tumisang Mashele has been training with the team under the watchful eye of club boss and coach, Jomo Sono.   

Mbokoma made his official debut for Ezenkosi in their league match against Ajax Cape Town on Friday at the Athlone Stadium.
