Micho Dedicates Win To Orlando Pirates Supporters

By Soccer Laduma - Jan 13, 2018 07:50 PM
Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic dedicated their 3-1 victory over Mamelodi Sundowns to their supporters for all the suffering and pain they endured last year.
The Buccaneers moved into the top-three following their successive win of the year with a convincing display against the Brazilians.
“For a good match, you needed two top class teams. We played a top class team that played three matches the past week. We planned well for everything they did on the field,” Sredojevic said post-match.
Having lost the earlier clash by the same score-line, this was a carbon copy according to the Serb of what transpired in Soweto.
“This game was a copy and paste of what happened at Orlando Stadium when we conceded an early goal and lost by the same score-line. I want to give credit to the players, they give everything.
“They live for this because it was too much drama for our supporters in 2017. On behalf of the technical team, I dedicate this win to our supporters for all the pain they suffered,” he said.
The substitution of Justin Shonga for Thembinkosi Lorch earlier in the second half proved to be telling with the latter combining to good effect to set up the final nail in the coffin.
“I believe in today’s game we showed our competitiveness because it’s the second game in a row we’ve scored three goals.
“We took Shonga off for tactical reasons because most of their fullbacks come from the flanks because they play central and put the ball on the flanks.
“So we wanted more power and freshness of Lorch on the sides with Kutumela so with players that play with space in behind the defence we can be much more dangerous to kill the game and it’s exactly how it happened with our third goal,” he said.

Well done Buccaneers the sky is yours. One thing the coach must work on is calm in front of goal. The players miss opportunities as if they are in competition for a trophy. One player after another.

everytime when this coach speaks u can hear he knows football, he knows how to analyse the game, its been years now since we competed in the league nd I feel this season we r competing, slowly this coach is steering the Bucs ship right were it belongs, u can even see that the players who were under performing r starting to perform now and thats all a sign of a good coach, we r playing good football n we r scoring goals now but we can improve nd get better, we need to bring in a lethal striker and a central defender and 1 central midfielder then we r sorted, for us as supporters lets stop criticising our coach n players when things r nt going well for the team lets rally behind our team coz with this technical team surely we r moving in the right direction.

I believe in a balanced team.Pirates players are overworked because many players are weak.Left back and right back are not pirates material. The guy who played with Nyauza is misplaced better in midfield with Sangweni. There is also that coloured boy frm MDC useless still MDC material.Coach balance your team before its too late.
