Usuthu Finalise Move For Bafana Midfielder
Michael Morton Has Completed His Move From SuperSport To AmaZulu
AmaZulu finalised another move for the new season by snapping up SuperSport United’s Michael Morton on loan for the 2017/18 campaign.
It was reported yesterday that the 28-year-old was on the verge of joining Usuthu as they continue to bolster the side for their first season back in the Absa Premiership, along with his teammate, Boalefa Pule.
Pule’s loan with an option was confirmed by his agent, Micky Paiva, on Thursday evening, and the Siya crew has now been informed that Morton has also completed the same move and will be spending the season in Durban.
The tough-tackling midfielder hasn’t played less than 20 games in any of the last six seasons, however, last year found himself stuck behind the likes of Dean Furman and Reneilwe Letsholonyane at the heart of the SuperSport midfield.
Morton helped Bafana beat Botswana in their Chan qualifier last week and will join Joey Antipas’ side on a high after the national team took one step closer to the tournament itself.
