Mhlongo Fit For TKO Final

Platinum Stars midfielder, Benson Mhlongo, will be ready to face Orlando Pirates in tomorrow’s Telkom Knockout final, despite rumours of him missing a couple of training session.

The 33-year-old, a former Buccaneer himself, was believed to have missed out on a couple of Dikwena’s training sessions this week as they prepare for the TKO finalea, although it has since been revealed that that is not the case.

Mhlongo has been in fine form for Star so far this year and played a vital role in Dikwena lifting the MTN8 trophy back in September following a win over tomorrow’s opposition.

Allan Freese’s side are set to be without injured captain, Vuyo Mere, although striker, Siphelele Mthembu, could possibly make a comeback for his side.

The game between Pirates and Stars will go ahead despite the death of Nelson Mandela, with the game taking place at Mbombela Stadium at 20h15 tomorrow night.
