News reaching the Siya crew is that former AmaZulu and Free State Stars defender Phumlani Mhamha will sign for NFD side FC Cape Town soon.
The 29-year-old defender is currently clubless after he was released by Usuthu at the end of last season, but according to sources, the Eastern Cape born player could find a home soon.
Mhamha’s agent Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi, of Rush Hour Sports Management, confirmed to the crew that they are talking to FC Cape Town.
“Yes, we’re talking to FC Cape Town about the possible move for Phumlani and talks are at an advanced stage. That’s all I can say for now,” said Mulovhedzi.
Mhamha was recently invited for trials by University of Pretoria recently, but nothing came out of those trials.
“Tuks said he was match unfit, so they advised him to try and get a short term deal where he can play regularly and then come back at the start of the new season,” explained Mulovhedzi.
