Free State Stars could resume with their programme for the 2012/13 campaign without Phumlani Mhamha, if the former Bush Bucks player succeeds in his attempt to impress the AmaZulu technical staff.
News reaching the Siya crew is that Mhamha has taken a trip down to the KwaZulu-Natal to begin a trial with AmaZulu. The 28-year-old has struggled for game time at Ea Lla Koto this season, only making a few appearances in the absence of the other players.
Mhamha joins former teammate Luyanda Hlongwa at Usuthu on trial. The two players were both at Ea Lla Koto during the first round of the season. Moreover, AmaZulu’s defence has been depleted following Prince Hlela’s move to SuperSport United.
AmaZulu coach Craig Rosslee will be hoping to bolster his squad during the current January transfer window, as he aims to salvage the club’s PSL Status.
