Platinum Stars captain, Vuyo Mere, thinks that his side’s encounter with Free State Stars will be their toughest game of the season so far.
The two sides lock horns this weekend at Goble Park as Dikwena look to keep up their unbeaten start to their 2013/14 campaign.
Allan Freese’s men have already beaten Ea Lla Koto once this season, claiming a 3-0 win over them in the quarterfinals of the MTN8 tournament.
However, Mere doesn’t think it will be so easy this time around. Speaking to the Siya crew he said, “It’s going to be one of our most difficult games that we’ll play this season, we beat them in the cup and that didn’t sit well with them.
“We are going into their backyard and they’re going to come guns blazing, but we’re prepared for that and we’re going to go out there and get maximum points.”
The two clubs have met in fourteen league games since 2005, with each side claiming four wins each and sharing the spoils six times. Their last league match finished 1-0 to Dikwena thanks to a Siphelele Mthembu goal.
