Orlando Pirates midfielder, Menzi Masuku, has revealed the reason behind their recent resurgence in form - which he attributes to the Buccaneers putting in extra training, especially in attacking areas.
Speaking to Soccer Laduma in an exclusive interview, Masuku highlighted that coach Eric Tinkler has been putting in extra work in areas where they can improve, particularly in the attacking third.
“We do have extra training as strikers and attacking midfielders,” Masuku said.
The winger has experienced limited game-time this season, having made 11 appearances in Pirates’ turbulent Absa Premiership campaign thus far - most of which came as second-half substitutions.
“The coach does those shooting drills with us, so yeah, we are working on it and it’s looking good at training. We just have to be more composed in match situations and things will come together,” Masuku concluded.
Pirates claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday to move to seventh spot on the Absa Premiership table.
