Orlando Pirates forward Thulasizwe Mbuyane says that this season has been the worst of his career and has vowed to come back stronger in the Buccaneers next campaign.
The 29-year-old striker has had a difficult season this year, struggling with injuries throughout the whole of Pirates’ campaign and making only a handful of appearances for Roger de Sa’s side.
However, ‘Juju’ now plans to get back to his best, and he told orlandopiratesfc.com, “Injuries kept me out of the team for a very long time, but that is part of the game; I am not complaining. I have to make things work for myself.
“I started working in the gym with some of the guys for a couple of days; for me, preseason started last week. I am pushing hard before the team starts so that when we re-open, I am in great shape.
“I miss playing football that is why I’m preparing myself to get a nice pre-season and be ready to get back to my level best; I can do much better. I will push myself.”
Mbuyane, together with his teammates, will officially report back to club on the June 18, to begin their pre-season training.
