Mbongeni Mzimela is still unsure about his future with Chippa United. The goalkeeper’s contract with the Philippi-based outfit is coming to an end at the end of the month.
It was revealed by the Siya crew in April that Mzimela was in doubt about his future at Chippa, as the Cape side was on its way to winning promotion back to the PSL at the time.
The Chilli Boys have been quiet on the player’s future since the team’s promotion to the elite league was confirmed over a month ago.
“I am waiting to hear from the club. They haven’t said anything so far. I don’t know, but I’m hoping. I will have some information before the end of the month,” said Mzimela.
Mzimela joined the side last year on a one-year deal. Sean Roberts and Abduraghmaan White are the other goalkeepers that were at Chippa in the 2013/14 season.
