Orlando Pirates have received a major boost ahead of Wednesday’s Absa Premiership match against Polokwane City with the news that striker Collins Mbesuma and midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo have recovered from their respective injuries and will resume full training this week.
Mbesuma and Ntshumayelo’s return will come as major boost for Pirates, who are on the back of a 1-0 loss to AC Leopards in the CAF Champions League.
Pirates fitness trainer Japhet Borges confirmed to the Siya crew that he will be working with the duo to try and raise their fitness levels.
“Mbesuma should have started his fitness training with me earlier, but then suffered from flu, he is alright now. Bibo has also recovered and now both of them will spend some time with me before joining the rest of the team,” said Borges.
“They have been away from the game for a while, so they lack fitness, that’s why they have been referred to me. They will be ready to compete soon,” added Borges.
Meanwhile, Pirates will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they take on Polokwane City in a league match on Wednesday.
