Platinum Stars chairman, Floyd Mbele, could be set for a role at the Premier League Soccer governing body.
Having gone through a difficult spell with Dikwena of late, the Siya crew has been informed that Mbele could use the departure of Jonathan Schloss as a way for him to become part of South African league football’s administrative body once again.
Mbele has previously worked as an administrator for both Orlando Pirates and SAFA, and it is thought that he could take the PSL position of general manager, with Derek Blanckensee being redeployed to the position of COO.
According to sources, the PSL have decided to keep the current COO, Cambridge Mokonyane, on board in the organisation, but give him the role of CEO, with Blanckensee taking his former role. The latest is brought about the murmuring within the league’s top structure that Mbele could now slot into the role of general manager.
