Orlando Pirates midfielder Mark Mayambela has made it into the 18-man squad for tonight’s crucial game against SuperSport United. Mayambela has been in scintillating form for the side in the Reserve League, and in friendly games played recently.
It was reported in issue 808 of Soccer-Laduma that the former Bloemfontein Celtic player is turning his situation around for the better, following his lack of game time at the club in recent times.
A source at Pirates confirmed that the skillful midfielder has been chosen by Roger de Sa for tonight’s game as Pirates aim to go past Kaizer Chiefs at the top of the log.
“Mayambela is in the squad. He is in camp with the rest of the guys. The guy has been doing well lately. He worked very hard in the games we played during the Afcon break,” said the source.
The 25-year-old was on the verge of making a move to Chippa United in January. He will be hoping to get a run against Matsatsantsa, to continue with his impressive form for the defending league champions.
