SuperSport United’s Director of Football, Stan Matthews, says that Jabu Mahlangu is helping with the club’s marketing campaign, but also asked to train with them.
The Siya crew recently reported that the 33-year-old could be handed a second chance by Matsatsantsa in order to give his football career one last shot, although it seems unlikely he will be signing for them.
Speaking to the crew, Matthews explained that the former Kaizer Chiefs man is simply helping them in the background at the Tshwane-based side. He said, “He’s just helping us with our marketing and branding, he asked if he could train with us and we said yes. He’s had such a good response when he’s spoken for us, he’s doing a great job.”
It remains to be seen what will come of Mahlangu’s training with Cavin Johnson and his team, although the Matsatsantsa head coach has already explained that he believes everybody deserves a second chance.
