Former Wits and Bafana Bafana midfielder, Matthew Pattison, says that perseverance is key when raising children.
As it’s Father’s Day Soccer Laduma had a chat with the midfield man, who recently left Mzansi to spend more time with his family.
Pattison explained that, no matter how hard it may sometimes be being a father, it can also be the ‘best feeling in the world’.
“Having kids is the best feeling in the world. Sometimes it’s the hardest thing in the world, but the trick is to always make sure you persevere. Show them that you love them and that you’ll always be there for them. That’s all you can do really.”
The 27-year-old is currently looking for a club in the UK after leaving the Clever Boys at the end of last season.
Soccer Laduma would also like to send our best wishes to all of the fathers in South Africa. Enjoy your day and cherish every moment.
