Last season’s PSL rookies, University of Pretoria, are in 11th place on the PSL table, having played five games this season. This weekend, they face a crucial encounter with Golden Arrows, at home, on Sunday.
The match comes after AmaTuks lost 1-0 against Platinum Stars earlier in the week. Steve Barker’s charges have only managed to register one league win, against Bloemfontein Celtic at home, while drawing one and losing three, and this Sunday’s game is set to be tough affair between the two sides.

Golden Arrows will also be looking to move away from the 12th position they occupy on the table, but Tuks midfielder, Mpho Matsi, told the Siya Crew that they cannot afford to lose.
“We respect them but we cannot afford to lose the three points at Tuks stadium. We are on a mission to win as many games as possible at home, and draw or lose less,” said Matsi.
“Arrows is a big team but we do not fear them. We know they do not play very well when playing away and we will not let them change that at our expense. It’s not going to be an easy game considering our league standings, they want the three as well,” said the midfielder.
Although Matsi admits that the team is not doing well at the start of this campaign, he believes the team will finish among the top five this season. “We are just unfortunate at the moment but the coach told us not to drop our heads. We are on our second season and it is different from the last one but we will be in the top five because we are better as a team,” Matsi told the Siya Crew.
AmaTuks go into this encounter with no suspensions and Malawian goal poacher, Atusaye Nyondo, is the only casualty, as he is out with a head injury.
