Orlando Pirates defender Thabo Matlaba doesn’t believe that the absence of some of their key players will not have any impact on tonight’s game against Mpumalanga Black Aces.
This comes after Pirates decided to release goalkeeper Fatau Dauda, and strikers Kermit Erasmus and Collins Mbesuma, for international duty for Ghana, South Africa and Zambia respectively.
The Buccaneers will also be without captain Lucky Lekgwathi, who has been left out of the match day squad.
“We have been playing well in Africa without some of these players and that shows that the club has many quality players. Pirates are not a one-man team and I’m sure that whoever is selected tonight, will do the job for the club,” Matlaba told the Siya crew.
Meanwhile, Matlaba has called on all the Bucs supporters to come out in their numbers and support the team.
“I’m calling on all Amabhakaniya out there to fill the Mbombela Stadium tonight. I want to tell them that we’ll do everything in our power to make sure that they leave the stadium happy,” concluded Matlaba.
