AmaZulu have strengthened the team’s goalkeeping department with the signing of Aubrey Mathibe.
It was revealed this morning on the Soccer-Laduma web and mobi-site that Usuthu could be Mathibe’s new club for next season, with the deal having been confirmed this afternoon.
With the shot-stopper’s contract at Moroka Swallows set to expire in June, he has now penned a three-year-deal with with the KZN outfit.
The 32-year-old is expected to compete for the number one jersey with Tapuwa Kapini and Philani Zikalala in Craig Rosslee’s team.
Mathibe is seen as a replacement for Mbongeni Mzimela at AmaZulu, with the club having confirmed that Mzimela has been allowed to leave the team at his own request.
AmaZulu have already signed a number of players ahead of the new season, including the likes of Letladi Madubanya, Bongi Macala, Bret Amidu and Sydney Urikhob.
