Solomon Mathe could make his 100th start for Platinum Stars this weekend, should head coach Allan Freese select him for the starting line-up.
The 33-year-old is currently in his third spell with the club, having twice left and come back, following spells with Orlando Pirates and Bloemfontein Celtic.
Now, under the tutelage of Freese, Mathe will be hoping that he can break the 100 start mark for the club when they travel to Free State Stars on Saturday, as Dikwena look to get their second win of the season and continue their unbeaten start.
Meanwhile Henrico Botes, who currently sits on 97 starts for the club, could also become a centurion when Dikwena take on Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium later this month.
Stars’ current record holder when it comes to appearances is Stanley Kgatla, who started 229 games for the club during his spell there, a feat that, at 33, Mathe will not be able to reach.
