Masehe Eyeing TKO Success

Free State Stars midfielder Paulus Masehe believes that with hard work, his side is capable of progressing to the next round of the Telkom Knockout.

Ea Lla Koto are preparing for what should be an entertaining game against AmaZulu in the last 16 of the prestigious competition.

Stars last played an official game when they beat Golden Arrows 1-0 in the league on September 18.

“Look, it’s a cup game and we all know how cup games are. We have to be prepared for the game because we don’t know what may happen in the next round. We’ve had some injuries and some of the guys are still working with the physical trainer on the sidelines,” said Masehe.

Steve Komphela and his team had a fairly good run in the competition last season. The Bethlehem-based side was booted out by neighbours and eventual winners, Bloemfontein Celtic, in the semi-finals.

The game against Usuthu is scheduled to be played at Goble Park on Saturday afternoon.
