Orlando Pirates have already been in a number of tough fixtures since the start of the 2013/14 Absa Premiership campaign and midfielder Lehlogonolo Masalesa tells the Siya crew that every match has a Cup final feel to it.
Last Sunday, Orlando Pirates defeated Al Ahly in a do-or-die match to secure their place in the semi-finals of the 2013 CAF Champions League. This was just two days before the Buccanneers edged out their Soweto rivals in the semi-finals of the MTN8 competition.
Masalesa has revealed to the Siya crew that every match Bucs have been involved in over the last few weeks, has felt like a Cup final for them.
Masalesa told Soccer-Laduma, “My man, it’s been very tough for us, but this is what we live for. It’s a cup final every week. Every team we’ve played in the last few weeks has been on top of their game.”
Bucs face Platinum Stars in the finals of the MTN8 competition this evening in a real cup final and this could bring Bucs’ first piece of silverware for the 2013/14 PSL campaign.
“We’ll treat this match just as we did the previous few matches, but the guys know that this time there is silverware on the line,” added Masalesa.
