Maritzburg United have a crucial meeting with under-pressure coach Ernst Middendorp to discuss the way forward after a struggling first half of the season.
The Team of Choice ended 2021 on a low, as they continued their long run without a victory.
After the team’s loss to Kaizer Chiefs, Head Coach Middendorp was honest in his assessment of the current situation at the club.
"It would be a disaster to not be concerned by the situation of the club at the moment from the Chairman and the board, so yeah there's concerns and it is painful to not get points. For me, I would like to continue because we have a good squad and by adding new players we can come out of this,” he said at the time.
The club’s boss Farook Kadodia reacted to those comments by revealing that the club will have a meeting with the coach to decide the way forward.
In getting an update on the situation, Kadodia confirmed that the meeting could take place this week after the coach returns from the festive break.
"The coach hasn't returned yet, he is coming back this week and we will have a meeting to discuss the way forward and possible players movements,” he told the Siya crew.
