Maritzburg Bring In Psychologist To Help Grieving Players
Maritzburg United Are Bringing In A Psychologist After Mlondi Dlamini's Death
Maritzburg United are looking to bring in a sports psychologist to try and help their players through the grieving process following the loss of their teammate, Mlondi Dlamini.
The 20-year-old was tragically killed in a car accident over the weekend during a crash on the N3 with the driver – who was allegedly Royal Eagles’ Happy Mashau.
It has since been explained that the club has given their players time off from training as they come to terms with the sad loss of the South African youth international, and are only expected back later in the week.
The Siya crew have also been informed that Maritzburg’s management is looking to hire a psychologist that will come in and work with the players in order to help them deal with Dlamini’s passing, especially given that another of their teammates, Mondli Cele, died in similar circumstances just last year.
Maritzburg still have over a week before their next game – against Chippa United and it is expected that there will be a tribute to him before that encounter.
