Maritzburg United will look to continue their rich vein of form as they prepare to take on Orlando Pirates in an all-important match-up for both teams at the Orlando Stadium tonight.
United could pounce on the wounded Pirates, who have lost two games in succession in the league. Another tick in the favour of United is that, Pirates have lost six of the 13 matches they have played at the Orlando Stadium.
The Team of Choice form in the league have taken the turn for the better, and are unbeaten in their last three games. They have also managed to gather 13 points away from home this season.
Since the 2005/06 season, Pirates and Maritzburg United have met 15 times, with the Buccaneers having the upper-hand winning nine times. United have won four ties with two games ending in draws.
When the two teams met in the first league round fixture back in November 2013, Pirates emerged as 1-0 victors, courtesy of a goal from Collins Mbesuma.
The game will start at 19:30 tonight.
