Orlando Pirates have received a major boost ahead of Saturday’s Telkom Knockout clash against Platinum Stars, with the news that midfielder Oupa Manyisa and Thulasizwe Mbuyane have resumed training after recovering from their injuries.
Defender Rooi Mahamutsa remains a doubtful starter for this game, as he has not recovered from his elbow injury.
The trio missed Pirates’ last game against Bloemfontein Celtic, which the Buccaneers lost 3-2 at Orlando Stadium.
Pirates PRO, Mickey Modisane, believes that Manyisa and Mbuyane’s return will boost the team’s chances of winning this game.
“Oupa and Thulasizwe have recovered and they are training with the team. We hope that their return will inspire the team to victory against Stars,” Modisane told the Siya crew.
“As for Rooi, he is still wearing the protective plaster and will only be assessed later this week if he would be available or not,” added Modisane.
The Bucs' defence, however, will be boosted by the return of right back Happy Jele for this clash. Jele missed the Celtic clash due to suspension and will return for this one after serving his one-match suspension.
