Orlando Pirates midfielder Oupa Manyisa says that he understands why the club gave him and Senzo Meyiwa a short break and is looking forward to his pre-season training with the rest of the squad.
Manyisa and Meyiwa were given an extra four days off by the technical team, following their international duty with Bafana Bafana, and the pair resumed pre-season training on Monday morning.
“The break was quite short but I have a job to do,” Manyisa told orlandopiratesfc.com
“(But) I understand, we have tough games coming up and we have to hit the ground running when the season starts, so it is normal for us to get such a short break.
“We are in the Champions League and that means we will be playing before any other PSL club, so it is understandable why we have to get back to work,” added Manyisa.
Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs will clash on July 27, with the title of 2013 Carling Black Label Cup champions up for grabs.
