Orlando Pirates midfielder Oupa Manyisa has resumed training with the rest of his teammates. Manyisa has missed the team’s last two outings, the league game against Free State Stars - see full match report here - and their CAF Champions League fixture with TP Mazembe, due to injury.
The Bafana Bafana player, affectionately known as Ace within the football fraternity, confirmed on the club’s official website that he has started full training with the Bucs squad.
“I feel good. The injury was not (bad), but I felt pain every time I ran so the medical team advised that I miss the match against Free State Stars and TP Mazembe. I have been out of action for the past week but I am now doing full training and looking forward to working my way back into the team,” Manyisa told orlandopiratesfc.com.
Manyisa will be hoping to regain his full fitness and challenge for a place in Roger de Sa’s starting lineup, as the team look to see out the season.
In Manyisa’s absence, Onyekachi Okonkwo and Lehlohonolo Masalesa partnered up in central midfield for De Sa in the team’s 3-1 win over TP Mazembe in the CAF Champions League last weekend.
