Lebogang Manyama's proposed move from Ajax Cape Town to Kaizer Chiefs in January is not happening, according to the Amakhosi's website.
This week the Siya-crew revealed that Ajax had accepted an offer from Chiefs for the midfielder, and all that needed to be done was for the player and the club to agree on personal terms.
But on Friday night Chiefs announced that the deal was off, and that after a long negotiation process, Manyama's agent told the Amakhosi that the player would not be joining the Soweto club, but instead be moving overseas at the end of the season.
The full statement on the Chiefs' website is as follows:
"The much anticipated move of the 23 year old midfielder, Lebogang Manyama from Ajax Cape Town to the Amakhosi is put on ice.
"The Club presented an offer to the player through his Agent following the agreement reached by the two Clubs for the move to take place.
"After a series of negotiations the Agent informed Chiefs that the player will be moving overseas at the end of the 2013/14 PSL season.
"The search for suitable talent to join the Amakhosi will continue."
